Pathwaze is a charity organisation providing support to at-risk adults between ages 18-45 years old with the vision of transforming their lives and empowering those who feel isolated from society.

After completing the Nzuri Properties website project, Sabreena and I had a good business relationship.

How Pathwaze came about, it was a little surprise, one-day Sabreena called me out of the blue and told me she is opening a charity and need a website for it urgently. In fact, she wants it ready for the next morning. This was my skills put to the test.

First, we started with securing the hosting and domain name to get the server setup. Followed by installing the CMS system and getting the website structure prepared.

I then began working on the website design whilst Sabreena prepared the content. I created the pages and added the content followed by contact form on the contact us page. We sourced some royalty-free images and added them to the relevant sections. I also added an animated promo image slider to give the website a bit of motion. Next, I was handed a logo which Sabreena arranged with someone else. The logo was a silhouette of brown and orange butterfly and a black text with the words Pathwaze underneath it. So upon receiving it I made the decision to match the website background with the logo so that it can uniform everything together and that gives it the finishing touch. The following morning I delivered on time and then I was asked to redesign the logo and work on business cards.

Created the logo and designed the business card for her, however, she sourced her own printing.

A couple of years went by and as her business grew I was then asked to revamp the website. This time around the logo was done in-house by someone else. When I saw the logo it was an image of a butterfly with a gradient of blue and purple colour. And because of this decided to redesign the colour of the website with these colours and that’s where we ended up.
